We design, promote and execute entertaining evenings of delight such as The Twisted Cabaret & 4Play
The Twisted Cabaret - July 25th 2008 The inspiration for the Twisted Cabaret was the desire to create a local performance arena for great performance artists that we have met whilst touring our songs. We decided to offer our South Lakes audience a high quality entertaining evening… with a twist – An alternative night of live raucous energy and fun as opposed to their usual drinking down the pub, watching TV or being blasted with the latest in CGI.
But what was The Twisted Cabaret? It’s easy to create a cabaret if you have the high quality acts up your sleeve and it was only a matter of time before the Twisted Raffle unveiled itself and wove the fabric of the night together. “That was the best raffle I never won” - Sarah
So, with our weird and wonderful Compere, Mr Nygel Harrot (he writes for Ken Dodd you know), a poet or two, Lizzie Mac hailing all the way from the radicals of feminist Oxford and Mark Mace Smith from the wordy echelons of Preston, our wild card and amazing local magician, Joel Dickinson, comedy singing duo (that’s us) and a stonking drinkers band, The Weird String Band, we laughed the merry twisted night away. The audience were inundated with surprises and gifts from a piece of The Twisted Cabaret cake to a hand crafted red rose as they departed!
“I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t expect the brilliance, talent, humour, timing. I’ve been part of tonight. It was worth every penny” – audience member Subscribe here to find out about future twisted events we may create for your pleasure |
Twisted Cabaret 'I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t expect the brilliance, talent, humour, timing. I’ve been part of tonight. It was worth every penny. You should be very pleased with all your achievements. I’ve had a fantastic time & can’t wait for the next performance. Soon we all hope' – Guest -
'All I can think to say is what a wonderfully anarchic night. From one land came so many & diverse thoughts & minds. Thank you. And it’s so good to hear poetry being brought to the fore' – Guest -
