Suited for people around the Duddon Estuary The Hill Top Sing is ideal for all adults wanting some casual, fun singing. This is an opportunity for everyone to come together in song and harmony. No-one will be asked to sing alone and we won't be performing, we will purely sing for our own pleasure.

We've hired the snug, cosy, village hall at The Hill with its lovely wood burning fire and leather sofas! We will literally be singing from The Hill Top!

We welcome anyone who likes to sing, whether you think you can or not. Many people have sadly been told they can't sing but if you have a working larynx and at least one working ear we believe you have what it takes to learn to sing.

Singing is your birthright! Singing is energizing. Singing is good for you!

The Hilltop Sing flyer

Singing is intrinsically linked to self confidence, emotionality and your health and well being. The Sidney De Haan Centre at Canterbury University are currently researching the connection between singing and health with the aim to attain singing on prescription.

We love singing with divergent communities of people. We teach everything by ear, no music, no backing tapes and no instruments, just the inherent power of our voices. Our emphasis is on simplicity, enjoyment and nurturing a confidence to sing out. We sing catchy, easy to learn and satisfying material from African grooves to Welsh lullabies, sea shanties to spirituals. We also 'doo bee doo' at times!

Come along and give it a try for only £5 per session.

'I wish more people knew how much singing lifts the spirit'
